FictionAddiction.NET was founded by Apryl Duncan - author, professional freelance writer and fellow fiction fan. Although she had written articles on the fiction writing craft for other publications, the idea for FictionAddiction.NET was sparked after Apryl noticed a serious gap on the Internet that separated fiction writing sites from fiction reader sites. To create the ultimate network of fiction, there needed to be one site that connected the best of both worlds.
In 2000, Apryl developed FictionAddiction.NET's very first site design and spent several months adding articles, book reviews and other content before launching the site in 2001. After just three months of being online, FictionAddiction.NET was chosen as a Writer's Digest Top 101 Web site, an honor we've won more than once.
Over the years, the site has evolved into a powerhouse of resources for both writers and readers. We've gone from one person updating the entire site to a small team of writers and readers who help maintain the site, adding new content daily to bring you the very latest information out of the fiction ranks.
We're constantly looking into ways we can expand our fiction coverage, even though FictionAddiction.NET is filled with content that will make you want to curl up in the corner and settle in for a while. (We don't mind. We'll even let you put your feet on the furniture.) Whether it's a sneak peek into an upcoming book, writing workshops, articles on the writing craft, author interviews, inspirational writing prompts, book reviews or a place to post your short stories, FictionAddiction.NET is your home for everything you need to make the most out of your fictional world.
Fiction writers and readers unite! You've just found a new way to feed your Fiction Addiction.
