Robert Downey, Jr., has put down his pen and returned his advance to his publisher, HarperCollins. The 43-year-old actor has decided to postpone his memoir.

HarperCollins said the book would be a "candid look at the highs and lows of his life and career" when his memoir was first announced two years ago. A spokesperson for Downey declined to comment on why the memoir has been shelved
